There are 35 EV charging station networks in Australia. Large networks include AGL, Alchemy Charge, AmpCharge, BP Pulse, Chargefox, Charge Hub, Charge N Go Australia, Everty, Evie, EV Up, EVX Australia, Exploren, Jolt, Noodoe, NRMA, RAA SA, Smart Charge, Tesla, Wevolt.

AGL EV Charging Network
Description: As of November 2025 there are 154 AGL AC sites in NSW.

Activation: AGL EV charging network are AC pole mounted and instructions on the charger are to activate with either app or RFID.
You can add your own RFID card by visiting an AGL charge point and following the instructions in the app.
You can also use the Chargefox app or Chargefox RFID.
If you tap your Chargefox RFID, (or any other RFID card that you have added to your Chargefox app), on the AGL charger it will activate and charge your card in the Chargefox app.
If you tap your Chargefox RFID card on the AGL charger, but have previously added your Chargefox RFID into the AGL app, the AGL app will activate and charge your card in the AGL app.

Description: Chargefox EV charging network of DC and AC chargers across Australia.
The RAA SA says RAA Members receive 10% discount at their RAA EV charging network on the Chargefox app or RFID.
Chargefox say they give members of all motoring organisations 10% discount at select DC locations. Their website listed only 21 such discount locations as at October 2025.
The Chargefox app and RFID may also be used to activate and charge at partner EV charging networks.

Description: Noodoe provide a EV charging network of DC & AC EV chargers, in Qld, NSW, Vic and WA. The website says it provides several EV charging service providers (CSPs) with software, (Noodoe EV OS) and hardware, (Noodoe EV charging stations). They include AXCharge, Easy EV, and RegenEV. Description: RAA SA EV charging network has over 140 locations across South Australia and they display their locations and details, including price on a map on their Website and in their app. RAA uses the Chargefox app for activation and payment. RAA members receive a 10% discount on all RAA EV charging stations if they enter their RAA Membership number into the Chargefox app.

PlugShare app – Location of all chargers
PlugShare app is a key app as it shows locations of most EV charging networks, non networked chargers and home chargers, reviews on their status, an alert system to notify you when they’re available, a trip planning function, ability to filter for charger speed, filter for AC or DC, filter for chargers at accommodation venues, ability to see chargers restricted to guests and to see chargers comming soon. Download PlugShare from Apple or Google Play. PlugShare is owned by EVGo Inc.

PlugShare also provides a single payment portal called Pay With PlugShare, which EV charging networks can join if they wish https://help.plugshare.com/hc/en-us/articles/7678161142035-Get-started-Pay-with-PlugShare I am not aware of any Australian networks joining Pay With PlugShare yet or what fees are involved to join. Australian EV networks currently choose to retail direct to their customers through app, RFID, credit card reader or QR code.

ABRP A Better Routeplanner app, in Apple or Android, is a locator and route planner app. ABRP is owned by the US company Rivian Automotive, Inc. ABRP website is https://abetterrouteplanner.com/

Charge@Large app is a locator app under development by the Electric Vehicle Council of Australia Limited. At its present stage of development, at November 2025, the app shows the locations of chargers from 11 of the 35 EV charging networks.

Seavolt is a network that plans to providing DC & AC chargers at Marinas for both boats and vehicles. As at June 2025 it has chargers at Church Point in NSW.
